Two weeks ago at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, we attended a preview of the upcoming BMW 5 Series GT. Ever since BMW has unveiled their latest gimmick, the 5 Series Gran Turismo subject has been widely debated on our website, but also by many other auto publications.
What we’ve learned in the past few years and after many new product launches was that some cars are really meant to be seen in person before any judgment can be passed on and the 5 GT certainly falls within that category. Most likely this is the reason why BMW North America has decided to take this interesting approach of introducing a new car to the journalists or even better said: giving us a sneak peak of what to expect since the model displayed in Spartanburg was not yet production ready. Just in: the new BMW 760Li is available for order at U.S. dealerships. The price? Starting at $136,000. This top-range luxury Bimmer has a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 all-aluminum engine providing an authoritative 535 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. Those are Bentley numbers. Better yet, the 760 can sprint from zero to 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds, leaving most cars in the dust.
Some of the standard equipment included are an 8-Speed automatic transmission, Heated sport steering wheel, Integral active steering, Lane departure warning, Active blind spot detection, Head-up display, Sirius XM radio and Premium sound.

At the beginning of the year, BMW North America announced that their two diesel powered vehicles for sale in the U.S. will benefit from a tax credit -- $900 for the BMW 335d and $1,800 for X5 35d.
Apparently these models aren't moving as fast as they'd like so they're making the deal on these already attractive diesels even more enticing by introducing a new cash-back rebate program. It offers a whopping $4,500 ECO Credit toward the purchase of a new BMW 335d and X5d.
The program runs through August 31st and it’s being advertised as a one-time special offer.

Earning no shortage of official praise and accolades, the new Mazda3 is almost universally accepted as the best in the segment and hands-down provides the most performance and driving fun for the money. Even the base Mazda 3 comes with an excellent engine and a surprisingly sophisticated suspension and interior.
If you aren't in the market and can't test drive one, at least check out the videos of Oncars.com doing their nice little review, since a car as aesthetically pleasing as the new Mazda3 needs to be seen in motion and high detail, not just pictures and words.

If you commanded the Nissan genie to pimp your Z-car, the result would be the second-generation NISMO model now available at dealerships. (The NISMO name stands for Nissan Motorsports International, the prime source of extreme performance parts and special-edition models created by Nissan factory experts for hard core street and track use.) Updates beyond the standard 370Z are 18 extra horsepower, 6 lb-ft more torque, various interior and exterior design touches, a retuned suspension, wider 19-inch forged-aluminum wheels, and Yokohama instead of Bridgestone tires. Even after you add a $780 dealer-installed engine oil cooler, the NISMO package runs only $6980 more than the regular 350Z equipped with a Sport Package.
NECK TORQUING EXTERIOR
The NISMO Z is not for those who prefer slipping through traffic unnoticed. The new nosepiece, which adds about six inches to overall length, includes a prominent chin spoiler and corner canards aimed at improved aerodynamic downforce. Add-on side sill extensions help manage under-car air flow. The new rear appendage is a biplane affair combining a spoiler with a wing. That device in combination with a diffuser panel between the exhaust pipes helps stick the rear tires to the pavement at high speed. Rear-fender slots are purely cosmetic.
The factory claims that there is genuine aero downforce at the felonious velocities this car is capable of achieving. Five color choices are offered-white, silver, black, red, and graphite. After exposure to one red and one silver NISMO Z, we highly recommend the red choice unless your driving record is already under assault.

Introduced for 2009, the sedan version of the Lancer Ralliart has won plenty of praise from our staffers for being a kinder, gentler Evo and the answer to the Subaru WRX that Mitsubishi never had. The Diamond Star is taking things a step further for 2010 with the Lancer Sportback Ralliart, its latest offering that has the WRX hatch squarely in its turbocharged sights.
Unsurprisingly, the spec sheet reads remarkably similar to that of its Ralliart sedan sibling. Under the hood is the same 4B11T 2.0-liter turbo-four, tuned for the same 237 horsepower and 253 lb-ft, mated to the same SST twin-clutch automatic. It's almost the same size too, at just 0.4-inches longer and 1.0-inches taller. The Sportback is barely heavier too, weighing in at 3539 pounds instead of the sedan's 3463....Continued

“When the first Transformers movie was setting box office records, we had countless customers asking to purchase the ‘BUMBLEBEE’ Camaro,” said Karen Rafferty, product marketing director, Chevrolet. “Now, they can buy one with the new Camaro Transformers Special Edition.
